Who wrote this and why should I trust it?
ChargeGauge is a small Australian business run by FairForm Co that tracks the proposed NSW EV road-user charge for electric vehicle owners. Every figure on the watch board is re-verified against NSW Treasury publications and the relevant legislation, with the primary source attached to each alert. The estimator on the home page is free and costs nothing to try first.
Is there actually a charge right now?
No. No NSW EV road-user charge is in force. It is scheduled from 1 July 2027 at 3.095c/km for battery EVs, with a 30% new-car sales trigger that could bring it forward. If the charge is delayed or scrapped, the tracker says so plainly. This is the point of the watch brief.
What does the paid tracker include?
A$19 for the year (AUD, GST incl.). You get the dated, sourced watch brief as a PDF, a July re-check of rates, triggers and dates with a published list of what changed, quarterly tracking of the 30% sales trigger, and same-week email alerts when anything moves, with the primary source attached. General information only, not tax or financial advice.
What is the guarantee?
14-day money-back guarantee: email within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, processed within 5 business days. Australian Consumer Law guarantees apply in addition.
